Here’s what I’ve got on my mental stove burners right now, and what’s been submitted but hasn’t been heard about.
Submissions:
1. Eternal Love
For over 900 years, Rhys Owens has loved the same woman’s soul. Although Rhys is immortal, the woman he loves is not. Through the centuries, he has found her in eight reincarnations, and each time she has been killed by fanatic immortals who want to prevent Rhys from granting her immortality.
When Rhys meets Gwen Davies at a cafe in a small Maine town, he immediately recognizes her as his lost love. This time, he’s finally able to transmute her before the fanatics find them. They aren’t safe yet, though. Pursued by the fanatics and by the immortal Guard, authorities who seek to bring Rhys to justice for his killing of two of the fanatics in others of Gwen’s lifetimes, Rhys and Gwen must run. Will they find their happily ever after?
Pink Petal Books has accepted this, and the planned release date is July 1, 2010!

1. Shiny Objects
Elena is in love with Corin, her live-in boyfriend whom she’s been with for a year and a half. But a chance meeting at a party with Niko, a former lover/close friend whom she hadn’t seen since before she met Corin, leads Elena’s mind in unexpected directions. Her one sexual experience with Niko was extremely hot, and if it wasn’t for Corin she would definitely want a repeat. And it’s clear Niko feels the same way.
When a visit to Niko results in a kiss that’s far more than friendly, Elena feels guilty and decides to confess to Corin. To her shock, he tells her that not only does he not mind, but that if she’ll agree to some conditions, he wouldn’t have a problem if things went farther between her and Niko. Given her realization that she loves Niko nearly as much as Corin, Elena isn’t sure that’s such a bad thing, but how can she possibly cheat on the man she’s in love with? And is it really cheating if he’s given his consent?
Shiny Objects is in second revision stage. I finally finished writing it, and went through and made some preliminary edits and revisions; now I have to go over it again, tweak some of the content, and get rid of some of my “pet words” that I overuse. I’ve found some plot issues that I need to resolve before submitting.
2. Saplings
When Cassidy Shelton took a position as environmental consultant for JaBro Corporation, the largest construction company in the state, she knew she was selling out. What she didn’t bargain for was having to deal with Jared Jackson, the arrogant son of the company owner. Jared acts like he’s God’s gift to women and to the construction industry, and Cassidy can’t stand him.
Then she and Jared are given an assignment: visit towns affected by an ice storm and persuade the townspeople to help JaBro plant trees to replace those lost in the storm. Traveling with Jared and working directly with him is even more annoying than dealing with him in the office. Until Cassidy realizes annoyance isn’t the only feeling she has about him. And he feels the same way about her.
This one’s also at second revision stage, again with a target date for submitting sometime early spring.
3. Vengeance Is Sweet
Omara is a vengeance demon. Not like the cute fluffy ones in that TV show about the vampire-slaying chick; a genuine demon, created by you-know-who to help punish those who have harmed innocents. Omara particularly specializes in revenge on humans who have harmed children, and she goes beyond the rules to wreak that revenge. Beyond to the point of being put on probation.
But her probation is lifted when a new assignment comes in that none of the other demons are available to take. The soul of a woman who committed suicide reports that her ex-husband abused her and their six-year-old daughter, spurring her suicide. Now she realizes she can’t protect her daughter, and wants assistance ensuring that her ex-husband gets what’s coming to him. On the grand scale of things, this is too minor to catch the attention of the vengeance department. But Omara senses something not quite right about the woman’s story. If her ex-husband did hurt her and their child, he deserves revenge. But Omara isn’t sure that’s the case, and sets out, despite her orders not to leave Hell, to learn the truth. When she meets Alejandro Ruiz and his daughter Keeley, she finds some very unexpected things. Including love.
I’m working on revisions for this one now, and adding some subplots and content.

Have you tapped into my dreams?
