Last weekend was busy! I did a writing presentation for the women’s group at my church on Saturday, talking about how to write a “story” about events in our real lives. The church I attend is big on family, including ancestors, so they were excited about the idea of writing real life stories to share with future generations.
Sunday, I did a presentation about writing series for my local Romance Writers of America chapter. Even though I lost the notecard on which I’d written my conclusion, and I forgot to bring a couple of my visual aids, I think the presentation went pretty well. The attendees had some awesome questions, and the next time I do a presentation like that, I’ll have a better idea of what to say.
Last weekend was also the Hop Against Homophobia, and I’m glad so many people stopped by my blog! I didn’t get to read as many other people’s posts as I wanted to, but the ones I read were very poignant and thought-provoking, and I was glad to be part of it.
As part of my post, I was giving away a copy of Lost Soul… and the winner is Elin! Elin, if you see this post, please contact me at karennac AT hotmail DOT com; meanwhile, I’ll be trying to get in touch with you to find out where to send your prize.
