Ebb & Flow

Lone wolf Malachi Powers never expected to find his true mate. And he couldn’t have imagined that his mate would be a werewolf over a century younger than him. Quinn Boucher has lived through unimaginable trauma, leaving him feeling unworthy of love. Let alone of finding his true mate. A long-distance relationship isn’t either of their preference, but it’s all they can have for now, with occasional visits to reconnect.

Their time together isn’t peaceful, however, as Malachi’s friend Anax Silas Creighton, ruler of all werewolves in Canada, is under threat from those who are angry that Silas has forged peace with the werewolves of the United States. With Quinn’s clairvoyant gifts and Malachi’s stubborn strength, they defend the Anax and work toward the day they can be together permanently.

If they survive that long.

Ebb and Flow (Ebb & Flow 1)

Only weeks after witnessing the massacre of nearly half his pack, Quinn Boucher is finding his footing as a guard to the U.S. Anax, ruler of all werewolves in the country. But flashbacks to the killings, and to the extreme abuse he suffered before joining the pack, plague Quinn. And a vital piece of his life is missing: his mate Malachi. From the moment they met in Nova Scotia, Quinn knew he and the older man were destined for each other. But Malachi is unwilling to accept Quinn as his, and his rejection cuts Quinn deeply.

At 130 years old, Malachi Powers has spent decades grieving the two human men who shared their lives with him and each other. The last thing he wants is a mate, especially one over a century younger than him. But Malachi can’t deny the attraction he feels to Quinn, a pull that isn’t merely fate. When Quinn returns to Nova Scotia at the request of the Canadian Anax, Malachi, against his human side’s better judgment, gives in to desire and claims Quinn as his mate and, at Quinn’s request, his to command.

As the walls between Malachi and Quinn crumble and their connection deepens, they’re caught in the crossfire of a conspiracy against the Canadian Anax. As a guard, Quinn has pledged to protect the Anax. As Quinn’s mate and the one to whom Quinn chooses to belong, Malachi has sworn to protect Quinn at any cost. With threats coming at them from all sides, will their chance at forever end before it truly begins?

This book includes discussions of past sexual assault and depictions of grief and mourning. There is a large age gap between the main characters (over 100 years…werewolves live a long time!) It also includes consensual commanding of a character. This book is set in the Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat universe but is not a direct part of that series.

Linda Tonis of Paranormal Romance Guild gives Ebb and Flow 5 stars and says, “This was a beautiful story about loss and fighting for a new start. A young man turned and tortured and losing a loved one and half his pack. Quinn is not brave and is always apologizing for any misdeed he thinks he has made while Malachi tries to get him to see himself for what he is, a brave young man who has saved the life of both Anax he was assigned to protect.”

Camille of Joyfully Jay gives Ebb and Flow 4.5 stars and says, “If you’re a fan of fated mates (especially when said mates have a lot of emotional unpacking to do) or opposites attract, I highly recommend this book.”

Cat of TTC Books and More gives Ebb and Flow 4 meows and says, “I really liked the way the fated mate was handled with Malachi and Quinn, it’s not the usual we are mates and fire Flys between them.”

Future and Past (Ebb &  Flow 2)

At 130 years old, lone Nova Scotian werewolf Malachi Powers never intended to find a mate, until fate sent him Quinn Boucher, a much younger man. Now, after only a few months, Malachi can’t imagine his life without Quinn. But when Quinn returns to Nova Scotia, Malachi learns that the man who belongs to him has been keeping a secret–something Malachi cannot allow.

At 22, Quinn Boucher has been through more trauma than most people survive in a lifetime. Although he is healing, lately his nightmares have worsened. After he lashes out during a flashback, his employer sends him to Nova Scotia to rest with Malachi at the home of Anax Silas Creighton, ruler of the Canadian werewolves. Face to face with his mate, the man he calls Sire, Quinn can no longer hide the truth.

As Quinn battles his demons with Malachi by his side, a new threat faces them. Silas’s newest guard, Andy, has malevolent intentions against Silas–and the rest of the werewolves of Canada. Only Quinn, with his clairvoyant abilities, can see what Andy truly is and the magic the other man wields, and only Quinn is left to fight when Andy takes control of Malachi, Silas, and the other guards. But to save his mate and the others, Quinn must first defeat the worst of his buried memories–memories now fueled by Andy’s power.

This book includes intense descriptions of flashbacks to abuse and sexual assault, harsh language including one use of the F-slur against a gay man, depictions of PTSD, and on-page unaliving of an evil werewolf. The main characters’ relationship includes a VERY large age gap (over a century; werewolves live a long time!) and one character consensually commanding the other. This book is set in the Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat universe but is not a direct part of that series.

Cat of TTC Books and More gives Future and Past 5 meows and says, “This book deals well with emotional trauma and also shows Quinn a bit stronger as well. As I’ve said before I love Quinn.”

Linda of Paranormal Romance Guild gives Future and Past 5 stars and says, “Malachi and Quinn are wonderful… I look forward to the next book in the series to see where their lives have taken them.”

Hooch and Howls (prequel novella about Malachi Powers’s past)

In 1920, a werewolf attack changed Malachi Powers’s life forever. Now, a decade later, Malachi lives near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, as a lone wolf, avoiding humans and other werewolves alike.

Two young men, Roger and Jonathan, arrive on the beach below Malachi’s cottage with a boat full of illegal hooch. Captivated by his unexpected visitors, Malachi hopes they will return to stay with him. When he learns that the rumrunners have taken Jonathan hostage until Roger repays a debt, Malachi can’t allow the two to remain in danger.

Rescuing Jonathan will mean revealing his secret to the two humans, and offering them a home will mean endangering his heart. Malachi’s life is about to change again. Possibly forever.

This book includes a scene in which the main character spies, without consent, on two people having sex. It also contains references to past sexual assault and underage male prostitution, and an intimate scene with the three major characters. This book is set in the Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat universe, albeit a hundred years prior to the events of those books, and is not a direct part of that series.

Ulysses of QueeRomance Ink/Paranormal Romance Guild gives Hooch and Howls 4 stars and says, “The narrative style is awkward, but so tenderhearted as to make the reader embrace the narrator’s awkwardness.”

Storm and Shelter (Ebb & Flow 3)–Releasing October 9, 2025

A year ago, Quinn Boucher was in his third year of university. He had plans. A life. And then in one night, it was all ripped away by violent werewolves who changed Quinn and held him captive for a month. Now, a year later, Quinn is healing. He has safety in the Massachusetts home of the U.S. Anax, ruler of all werewolves in the country. And he has the love and support of the older man fate brought into his life, his mate Malachi. But as the anniversary of his change passes, Quinn has no respite from his memories. If only Malachi wasn’t so far away.

At 130 years old, Malachi Powers never wanted a mate. Never wanted to command another. And then destiny gave him Quinn. Now, after six months, he can no longer imagine his life without the young man who obeys his word. When the U.S. Anax requests that Malachi come to spend Christmas with Quinn, Malachi accepts the offer. And when the Anax offers to allow Quinn to travel back to Nova Scotia to spend time with Malachi, both are thrilled.

Staying at Malachi’s winterized island cottage, Quinn and Malachi feel out how it will be when they are finally able to fully combine their lives.  But the isolation, a blizzard, and the impending full moon fuel their fears and tempers. When conflict erupts and Quinn runs, Malachi questions whether he can truly be the man his mate needs–and whether Quinn can truly heal. Perhaps they would be better off apart.

This book includes a large age gap between main characters (over 100 years; werewolves live a long time); mention of and flashbacks to sexual trauma in a main character’s past; depictions of PTSD; one main character consensually commanding the other; and mention of the off-page self-unaliving of a minor character. The book is set in the Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat universe but is not a direct part of that series.

Available for Kindle preorder. Releasing Oct. 9, 2025 in Kindle and paperback formats.
